Combining conventional and alternative medical approaches to achieve the best choices and options for wellness.

Initial visit
You can expect a comprehensive review of your health history to explore your personal issues and concerns in detail. Our goal during this visit is to listen to your story and get to know you as a whole person, so we may best guide you on your path to wellness from within an established, patient-centered relationship.

Initial appointment, follow-up, or regular office visit
For follow-up concerns, medical evaluations, or procedures, we ask all new patients to set up a follow-up appointment when they schedule their initial visit. This allows us to address your individual needs and concerns as they arise.

Annual exam
A yearly appointment with established patients comprised of a general physical exam, pelvic exam, Pap smear, breast exam and appropriate lab tests is recommended.

Standard procedures
Women to Women practitioners conduct all standard medical procedures, including:

  • alternative to hysterectomy

  • annual pelvic and breast exams

  • colposcopy to evaluate abnormal Pap smears or wart viruses

  • cryocautery to treat abnormal Pap smears

  • endometriosis

  • endometrial biopsy to evaluate tissue

  • fertility and contraception services

  • herbal solutions

  • menopausal/hormonal counseling, including bio-identical hormone treatment

  • nutrition advice

  • ovarian cysts

  • PMS counseling

  • self-empowerment counseling

  • supplementation education

  • treatment of pelvic pain, abnormal pain

  • uterine fibroids

  • vaginal infections

  • vaginal/vulvar microscopy, TCA wart treatments, or biopsies

Second opinion
When you are facing the decision to have surgery or want confirmation of a diagnosis, a second opinion can be essential — and comforting. We have met many of our patients this way and encourage you to see your diagnosis from an integrative medicine perspective. We’ll review outside records such as ultrasounds or other diagnostic tests, and conduct exams as needed to complete the second opinion forms.

Consultation visit
Sometimes you may simply want to discuss a concern or question that does not require a physical exam. Unlike conventional practices, we welcome this exchange and feel these sessions are useful in gathering the information you need to participate fully in your own health management. Consult topics may include nutrition and/or eating disorders, fertility, sex, contraception, bio-identical hormones treatment, other menopausal/hormonal concerns, overall health issues and emotional issues that arise as a result of your treatment.
