Women to Women Clinic History

women's medical clinicHow it all began over 25 years ago.

We may be biased, but we believe the strength of Women to Women is our ability and patience to listen. We’re committed to it.

Even the setting itself, a classic Victorian house in Yarmouth, Maine, lends itself to confidential talks between women. One or the other of us frequently talks with a woman over a cup of herbal tea. Revelations that seem trivial influence us to look for patterns that lead to better treatment.

In fact, many of the developments we’ve made over the years were prompted by really hearing what women were telling us. For example, we discovered some textbook “truths” were really old wives’ tales. And we also charted seemingly unimportant factors that led us to see new connections and symptom “triggers” that could be easily relieved.

Our philosophy is to be open to learning something new. The women we see know more than they imagine. By listening to tens of thousands of women, we’ve been able to discover what is really true about perimenopause and menopause, not what conventional thinking has accepted as fact.

That’s why we’ve always been ahead of the curve in natural alternatives.

In fact, after 25 years of serving over 100,000 women seeking natural answers, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience that’s hard to match. And it’s about more than clinical statistics. We know the hearts of women.

  • We know the panic a professional woman can feel when she starts forgetting names and deadlines.
  • We know the embarrassment a wife feels when relations with her husband are affected by a sinking libido.
  • We know the shame a woman feels when she no longer has patience with her children.

As women dealing with women, these issues touch us deeply. We pursue solutions because we believe women become better as they mature. As we grow older, we gain a lot and should not lose what is rightfully ours for a lifetime – vibrant health, a strong sex drive, ageless beauty and more.

All this has come at great cost. We rejected conventional hormone treatment from the start and were condemned or ridiculed by many orthodox medical practitioners. Many dismissed us as naïve idealists. Yet, it’s difficult to argue today with the hard clinical proof that shows the natural ways are far superior to harmful equine or artificial hormones.

Our success in the clinic brought us to two conclusions:

  1. There are women all across the country who don’t have this kind of support available to them.
  2. While it’s not practical to see every woman personally, our program has shown us that the vast majority – an overwhelming 85% – can succeed in reducing or eliminating symptoms and regain a healthy balance at home.

Once we realized from clinical experience that our program could effectively and safely provide relief even without supervision, we decided to offer our natural alternatives to women across the country.

A majority of women can find welcome relief from the annoying symptoms of hormone imbalances quickly. There’s generally no need for you to become a patient in our clinic or leave your current doctor. We do offer phone consultations to assist you.

But what if a woman is in the 15% who need extra help or needs her health program “tweaked” from time to time to keep in sync with her body’s needs?

We never want a woman to be left to fend for herself. It goes against our entire mission of serving the total woman.

The women who need personal medical attention to address their needs can make an appointment at the clinic for more in-depth help.

If you haven’t taken the free Hormonal Health Assessment, why not do that now? It only takes a couple of minutes, and this is the first step toward feeling like yourself again.
