  • The Together Rx Access Card has been created by pharmaceutical companies to help Americans and their families gain access to savings on prescription products. This program offers 25–40% off brand-name prescription medications at pharmacies nationwide. To be eligible, you have to have a household income of less than $30,000 for a single person or $60,000 for a family of four and be a legal resident of the US or Puerto Rico.   • National Institutes of Health Information Hotline
  • CancerCare (offers a financial assistance page for cancer patients)
  • American Diabetes Association (website has a page on health insurance options)
  • National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has published “Financial Help for Diabetes Care,” information about resources that may help with medical expenses of a person with diabetes. Visit their website, or order a copy by calling 1-800-860-8747.
  • You can also contact your county or town health department. It’s possible that there are local resources do not exist on a statewide or national level.
