Women’s stories
“I had no one to talk to.”
Sallie loves having a big family and is devoted to her five kids, whom she homeschools.
The stress on her is intense, but her health has been generally good and her periods
have remained regular.
A little more than a year ago, she began to notice unwelcome changes in herself.
The first were mood swings and irritability, which followed her menstrual cycle.
She began to feel frustrated in her relationships, both with her husband and friends.
As the months passed Sallie developed a host of other perimenopause symptoms, including
insomnia, bloating, cravings for sweets, and some urinary incontinence. Worst of
all, was her total loss of libido. Even her skin changed.
Sallie had no one to talk to about her symptoms, and certainly had no idea they
might have a common nutritional basis. But she found the Personal Program on the
internet and decided to give it a try.
We spoke to Sallie recently after just a few weeks in the Program. “I am so
excited about your Program and the help you are giving to us that I am sharing it
with everyone!” she said. She’s already been through a menstrual cycle
and noticed an immediate improvement in her mood swings and irritability. “I
am going to send you my long list of all the ways I am feeling better.” Overall
she feels stronger and more energetic. She said even her skin has returned to normal.
We were especially happy to hear Sallie say that our nurses had been so important
for her. “Until now I had no one to talk to. Now I have someone to talk with
when I need to.” That’s what we’re here for!
