No more PMS, thank you very much.
Kelly is a 38 year-old mother of two, dedicated wife, and skilled factory worker. Before she came to us, she suffered from severe PMS. She said her mood swings got much worse after the birth of her children, sometimes making her feel almost out of control. She was also concerned with her severe stress, unhappiness, and cravings for sugar products. She had just come to the realization she needed more help with her PMS when she heard about the Personal Program.
Kelly had a nurse consultation at the end of her first month in the Program. She already felt better. She was pretty consistent in taking her Essential Nutrients, and had also started making some changes in her daily diet to include more protein. But she admitted that she felt overwhelmed by the dietary changes we recommended. Even though they made sense to her, she just wasn’t ready to give up all her favorite high-carbohydrate foods.
We talked a lot about the small steps she could make with better day-to-day choices, like reducing her intake of diet sodas, and shifting the ratio of food groups. She agreed she could manage a short walk every day as well.
A month later, we tried calling her to check in with her progress, but she wasn’t home. Her husband was willing to take a message, and when I said I was calling from the Personal Program he said we must be miracle workers — he had his wife back again. When we later caught up with Kelly, we could hear her husband shouting “Thank you! Thank you!” in the background.
Kelly indeed was feeling great. She wasn’t able to follow the nutritional guidelines perfectly, but the steps she could take were enough to resolve most of her symptoms of hormonal imbalance. She no longer felt plagued by mood swings. Her periods were coming with a pleasant surprise now — no PMS ahead of time. We happily chatted about the steps she would continue to work on, and the importance of consistency in using the Essential Nutrients.
