Women’s stories
“I’m back to my old self again!”
38-year-old Hannah started having menopausal symptoms and was prescribed several
medications, including progesterone, Estroven, and Lexapro. These medications just
made her feel run down, agitated, and downright “crazy.” Hannah was
even more disappointed when her doctor told her her fibroids had grown and she needed
to prepare for a hysterectomy. She decided to take her health into her own hands.
Hannah joined the Personal Program in 2007 and is happily back to the woman she
once was.
“I was 38 when I started to have menopausal symptoms. It began with the hot
flashes, and irregular periods. My hot flashes were so bad that I would be sitting
with people talking and I would be like, ‘Oh my gosh! I’m so hot I think
I’m going to rip my clothes off!’ I went to my doctor and he put me
on progesterone for a year. I was really feeling the progesterone mentally. Every
day was just unbelievable, and I have always been an upbeat person. I’ve never
had depression or anything like that. After a year, my doctor wanted me to stop
taking the progesterone and see if my periods would return to normal. They did not.
So he told me to continue it for a few months. I absolutely could not stand how
I felt, so I started researching. That’s how I found Women to Women’s
Personal Program. Originally, I had my reservations. But I thought I’d give
it a try. I joined the Personal Program for Hormonal Imbalance, and I am not kidding,
I felt immediately felt better on it!
“I started taking the Essential Nutrients, Herbal Equilibrium, and some extra
Omega 3’s. Of course I called my Nurse–Educator and the Member Advocates a
lot because I’m one of those people who had to make adjustments and was sensitive
to the nutrients. I have gone off and on them for various reasons, but always end
up coming back to them because I feel so much better on them! My cycles were normal,
I didn’t have hot flashes, and I felt great. I was like my old self again.
I hadn’t felt like that in two years. I was even working out. I have hypertension
so working out is very important. Every time I did go off the supplements, I would
notice my symptoms return within two weeks!
“One of the things I like about the Program the research that has gone into
it. My doctors didn’t really think I should be on the Program; they said things
like, I don’t know if this will help you. So I did a little research
of my own. I talked to the people at Women to Women, and I was able to read a lot
on your website. At the end of my research, I felt that the Personal Program could
really help me. So, I took matters into my own hands and continued taking the supplements.
“One of my doctors even told me to stop the supplements because my fibroids
had grown. He wanted me to stop the supplements, go on Lupron, and prepare for a
hysterectomy. Being concerned, I said, ‘Can I please go to the hospital and
get an ultrasound because I want to get a real good measurement?’ So I went
and had the ultrasound, and it turned out my fibroids had actually shrunk! I kept
thinking, if I had listened to my doctor, who I trust a lot, I would be on Lupron
and preparing for a hysterectomy! I was so glad that I felt empowered enough
to ask for a second opinion before I had a hysterectomy.
“I still look at the Program and sometimes wonder, ‘Is this really working?’
I have to go with what I feel, and this is truly something that helps. It’s
not just an internet scam! I have done the research on the people that have built
the program. I have really looked into their backgrounds. I think it is a wonderful
program. I recommend it to everyone. I think modern medicine can do a lot for us
but I am a firm believer that there are other ways to heal, and I have truly seen
It on the Personal Program. I’m back to my old self again!”
