“Life is fresh and new!”

Last May, Kara, 43, had a scare on her mammogram. It turned out that she didn’t have cancer, but the experience was traumatic. She wasn’t sleeping or doing the things she liked to do. And even after the results were positive, she could barely take care of her family. She realized part of her problem was hormonal imbalance. She’s now been on the program seven months and continues to feel better every day! Here’s what she told us:

“I was trying to find answers. I was sad and depressed, crying all the time. It started with my breast biopsy. I was having trouble sleeping. I was getting up at four or five o’clock, having night sweats and panic attacks. Even though I’d been very active and healthy before the mammogram — jogging 4 miles a day and eating really well — I let myself go during that time. I stopped exercising and lost track of how I was eating. I couldn’t even be alone. I actually went to work with my husband because I couldn’t stay home by myself. I have five kids — I used to love to be alone!

“The biopsy turned out fine, but my symptoms didn’t go away. I figured it had to be hormones. I didn’t have anything to be sad about, but I felt awful! I went to a menopause specialist who put me on oral progesterone and estrogen, but it only made my symptoms worse. When I told him I was feeling more symptoms, he increased the doses and gave me a prescription for anxiety. I knew that I wasn’t getting the right balance of hormones and I wasn’t going to put a Band-Aid on it with an anxiety medication.

“I never filled that prescription and never went back to that doctor. Instead, I started searching for something on my own. After about two months, I found you. I read every testimonial on your website and realized I had almost every symptom other women were talking about! The personal stories were what convinced me.

“The first thing I noticed after starting the Personal Program was that I was sleeping all night long. After only a week, my mother-in-law said to me, ‘You’re feeling better aren’t you?’ She could tell because I was smiling and laughing again. I was participating in conversations, where before I would just sit alone in a corner and stay quiet.

“Every week things got better. My Nurse-Educator didn’t give up on me. She kept trying different things until I was feeling back to normal. I realized the doctor I had been seeing wasn’t listening to me. He wasn’t hearing me at all and just wanted a quick fix. The Nurse-Educator was listening. She didn’t make me feel like this was all in my head. I love the fact that I can pick up the phone and you’re there. I love the fact that your Essential Nutrients can travel in my purse, that they’re shipped in the mail to me on time. Women to Women is just there for me!

“I feel like I’m living again. I’m back to running three miles a day and eating right. My daughter is getting married in the fall and I can actually concentrate on planning the wedding. I just feel great, like life is fresh and new. And I feel like if the Personal Program works for me, it’ll work for anyone. I was convinced that life would never be the same and now it is!”
