“I was simply at the end of my rope when I started.”

Candace joined the Program after medical tests gave her a big health scare. After three weeks, she’s noticing a big difference in her energy level, cravings and weight gain. She’s actually mountain climbing! Here’s her story in her own words.

“I started your Personal Program about three weeks ago with all of the usual symptoms: exhaustion, weight gain, lack of motivation and extreme cravings for carbohydrates. After numerous lab tests with my physician, we found that I was severely deficient in many amino acids. In fact, I was at ‘0’ on some levels of amino acids.

“I also had a high white blood cell count which prompted numerous tests to rule out leukemia. As the mother of a six-year-old, I was very scared by the possibility that there was something really wrong. At that time I joined your Program and started following your eating plan.

“It’s been three weeks and Im just now starting to really notice a difference. Where I used to have to take naps daily — sometimes even twice a day — just to get through, this last week, I think I only took one nap the whole week. I have completely given up sugar, white flour, processed foods of any kind, and caffeine. I still have wine on occasion, but I find that I feel better without it. My food choices have changed dramatically and consist primarily of organic ‘whole’ foods.

“I admit, sometimes its hard to say no, especially when it comes to dessert, but Ive found its really worth the effort to eat healthy. I feel soooo much better and am still improving day by day. I was worried that I’d run out of steam as with other carb-restricted plans, but I just climbed Mt. Whitney. I run and take a spin class on a regular basis. My workouts are much more productive and energetic, and my moods have really stabilized.

“Whatever it is about the Program, the combination seems to be working really well for me. And, by the way, Ive also lost seven pounds. I had about 20 pounds to lose when I started, but losing weight is not my motivation for doing this. I was simply at the end of my rope when I started. Anyway, thanks for the insight, the education and for helping me through a difficult time. I really appreciate it.”
