“I’m so glad I found your website !”
Grace is a 53-year-old woman who had a partial hysterectomy a year ago. She resisted hormone therapy, but felt nervous about weight gain when her healthcare provider said she could expect to gain about 10 pounds a decade. Grace refused to believe it and started the Personal Program instead… A month later, her health has rebounded and her energy is returning in spades.
A year ago, Grace underwent a partial hysterectomy. She had been troubled by cysts in one ovary and fibroids, and decided to undergo surgery to get some relief. She was wary of hormone treatments after reading about the risks associated with HRT, so she insisted that the one healthy ovary be left intact. Her doctor tried to change her mind, but Grace was adamant — and she is glad she held her ground.
After the surgery, the nurse at her OB–GYN’s office told her to expect to gain at least 10 pounds per decade. She was told that it was considered “normal” weight gain for post-menopause or post-hysterectomy patients. Grace has always been fit and trim, and was stunned to be told this!
Another post-surgical surprise was a series of heart flutters and palpitations. Grace had a full cardiac evaluation that was negative. Her doctor once again recommended HRT, but Grace declined and went hunting for a natural alternative.
She found the Personal Program through a friend’s recommendation. “I noticed a big difference after just 20 days. And now that I’ve really started following your Nutritional Guidelines, I feel even better!”
Grace found her energy returning in spades and began cycling again. She’s up to 11 miles a day and hoping to get back to her pre-surgery routine of 20 before too long. She was thrilled to tell us that her cravings for sugar, chocolate and salt are gone. “I think it is all from the Personal Program. It takes some work, time and attention — but it is so worth it!”
Sex is still a concern for Grace since her surgery. We suggested the Pilates method of pelvic floor exercises and told her to follow up with her surgeon. It’s possible she may need to give her vaginal tissue a boost with some bioidentical hormones like Estrace vaginal cream or Vagifem pellets.
Grace’s response was gleeful, “I’m so glad I found your website!”
