“An anchor to windward...”
Maggie, 52, lives on a 160-acre horse farm and teaches horseback riding for able and disabled people. Over a year ago, leg cramps, hot flashes and night sweats were waking her up all night long. A friend told her about the Personal Program and she has had great success so far!
“I found Women to Women on the web, but I didn’t do anything about it. I’m not quick to act on things like this. But then I went to visit a college roommate and I realized she was on the Personal Program. She raved about it and that was all I needed to get me to start the program.
“What I noticed right away — in probably about a week — was that my leg cramps were gone. I was getting these horrible charley horses at night and on top of the hot flashes and night sweats, I wasn’t getting any sleep. No sleep makes for unhappy people! Soon the hot flashes and night sweats calmed down as well. However, I’ve been going through some things in my personal life, and now they are coming back (possibly from stress). But the leg cramps are still completely gone.
“My husband and I have also been following the Personal Program Nutritional Guidelines as strictly as we can. It’s been a real change for me because I was a sugar addict. For the first two weeks, I felt exhausted, but now that my body is used to it, I feel much better. We threw out all of our processed and canned foods and eat more fresh foods. Since we have the farm we’re both very active anyway, but now we just have more energy. And my husband used to suffer from back pain, but now that we've changed our nutrition, the pain is gone. He thinks it was a muscle thing, but I think his kidneys were just filtering out all of the toxins in the food he was eating.
