Sex & fertility

Having the man “pull out” doesn’t count, does it?

Everything counts, so if you find yourself in the heat of passion without a condom, having your partner pull out to prevent ejaculation inside the vagina is better than nothing!

But if birth “control” is genuinely important to you, be aware that several drops of semen can be released from the penis before ejaculation. If you are in the fertile phase of your cycle and using no protection, the sperm in those drops have every chance of making safe passage to and fertilizing your egg.

Some couples use the “pulling-out” method for years without conceiving a pregnancy, but it certainly is not an advisable method if you really, really do not wish to get pregnant.

Being a massage therapist, Kathy had always put a high priority on health - but things were sinking to such an unmanageable level she felt she was losing the ability to help herself.
