Ask Emily — thyroid health

QUESTION:

Can my thyroid condition be cured?

ANSWER:

Yes! But you might not hear this from your doctor. Unfortunately, conventional medicine views the thyroid as separate from the rest of the body and relies on medication to treat it. But depending on the cause of your thyroid condition, you can often use a holistic approach to restore your thyroid and maintain healthy functioning. This is especially the case when hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies or adrenal fatigue are affecting your thyroid. Restoring the imbalance often restores the thyroid. However, there are some conditions that can permanently affect the thyroid, such as Graves’ disease.
