Bea, 41 and one of nine girls in her family, was told by two different doctors that she should have a hysterectomy. Four of her eight sisters had already had one, but she was determined not to. She'd suffered from irregular periods and heavy bleeding since her periods began, and in 2005 was told she had a uterine fibroid.
